ImageMAKER Component Overview The ImageMAKER Toolkit provides Client and Server based OEM components to fax-enable commercial software applications. Five major components are supported in the Toolkit: Print Capture Driver; Server based Document Conversion Toolkit; Cover Page Generator; full featured Fax Viewer; and a Graphics Engine Library. Each of these components in turn are built out of separate objects, each of which has its own defined API. ImageMAKER is available for all common versions of Windows, including Windows 2000, XP, Server 2003, Server 2008, Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Server 2012, and Windows 10, both with and without Terminal Services, and in both 32 and 64 bit versions, for those Windows versions that support those features. This section will provide an overview of each of the ImageMAKER components. Print Capture Driver Print Capture installs as a Windows print driver. The Print Capture Driver creates fax images (TIFF, DCX, PCX) from any Windows based application to multiple resolutions, sizes and orientation. Support for a wide range of customizable features are provided through custom install options. A 24 Bit Color Print Capture Driver is also separately available, supporting creation of 24 Bit JPEG and BMP images, as well as JPEG-compressed TIFF. ImageMAKER Print Capture calls a customizable Print Capture Control Dialog on startup (C, C++, Delphi and VB Sample source are provided with Object License). The Control Dialog can prompt the user for customized addressing information at time of fax creation. It then monitors the print capture progress, and reports job status on completion. Extensible hooks support attaching the Cover Page Generator, Fax Viewer, Phone Book Address Database, and Fax Server Connectivity. Server Based Document Conversion Convert Microsoft Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, Corel drawings, Word Perfect documents, CAD-CAM drawings, and other popular document file formats to TIFF or JPEG using our server based conversion software. The Document Conversion system is scalable by adding additional computers. Load is balanced using a round-robin algorithm. The conversion server can be called from traditional messaging applications, or linked into an internet server architecture. Supports millions of document conversions without requiring a re-boot. Full Featured Fax Viewer Images can be viewed, rotated, paged, and scaled preemptively without waiting for the previous request to complete. Background processing of the current image ensures that image pans and region updates are carried out at bitmap speed. Image enhancement features support 'darken', or conversion to 16 shades of gray. Support for color conversion features (fax dithering) ensure that color images look their best when converted for fax transmission.
